IDF and Shin Bet Identify Two Arms-Smuggling Operatives Killed in Khan Younis

The IDF said on Thursday that it and the Shin Bet had killed Basel Nabil Abd al-Rahman Qishta and Ahmed Rajaa al-Shaer in a strike near Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Wednesday. According to the statement, the two purchased and traded weapons and helped smuggle arms and other military equipment into Gaza. The IDF said the operation targeted a threat to Israeli civilians and troops deployed in Yellow Line areas. It said precision munitions and aerial surveillance were used before the strike to reduce the risk of civilian harm.
