Shin Bet Chief Reportedly Delays Gaza-Smuggling Assessment Sought by Prosecutors

Shin Bet chief David Zini has reportedly delayed, for several weeks, delivery of an assessment requested by state prosecutors concerning smuggling into Gaza. The prosecutors asked for the security service’s position on the smuggling and an evaluation of its security implications for use in criminal proceedings against alleged smugglers. The request relates to proceedings that also involve Zini’s brother, who has been charged with smuggling, according to the report.
