Israeli Consulate Announces Nevada Meetings on Campus Antisemitism

Israel’s consulate in Los Angeles announced on October 15 that Ambassador Modi Ephraim had held meetings with university leaders, Jewish-community representatives and state legislators during his first official visit to Nevada. At UNLV, the discussions addressed campus antisemitism, education and mutual understanding. Ephraim also met Rabbi Felipe Goodman at Temple Beth Sholom to hear about challenges facing the Jewish community since October 7 and efforts to strengthen Jewish life and community ties. In meetings with state lawmakers, including Senator James Ohrenschall, he discussed legislation against antisemitism and deepening Nevada’s partnership with Israel.
