Beersheba Court Extends Detention in Suspected Wife Killing

The Beersheba Magistrate’s Court on October 18 extended the detention of a 47-year-old man suspected of fatally stabbing his wife at their home in the city the previous week. Judge Asif Gil also authorized publication of the suspect’s name after a request to lift the restriction on identifying him. Police had opposed allowing his name to be made public. The suspected killing is being investigated by the Negev central investigations unit, and the man remains a suspect in the case.
