Ariel Sharon Park Metro Station Receives First Construction Authorization

The National Licensing Authority in Israel's Planning Administration has approved the country's first metro station construction authorization, for the underground structure at Ariel Sharon Park on the planned M3 line. The authorized works include excavating and removing about 300,000 cubic meters of earth, building retaining walls around 38 meters deep, and preparing the station and tracks. The works are expected to take approximately 25 months. The authorization follows coordination with infrastructure operators, local authorities and environmental bodies, and includes air and dust monitoring, nighttime lighting requirements and landscape restoration.
