NTA Expects Metro Worksites to Expand From 30 to 70 in 2027

NTA expects the number of Gush Dan metro worksites to rise from 30 to 70 in 2027 as preparatory construction expands. M1 line manager Kobi Ben Atar described moving utility relocation ahead of the main contracts to reduce delays for major contractors. He outlined planned drainage relocation in Yarkon Park costing NIS 50–60 million and taking about two and a half years. NTA generally seeks to retain sites until main construction begins, but may restore land at municipalities’ request; municipalities can also pay for infrastructure upgrades beyond the project’s requirements.
