Wiz Founders and Direct Insurance Group Reportedly Explore Cal Acquisition

Assaf Rappaport and the other Wiz founders are reportedly considering joining an acquisition of Israeli credit-card company Cal, while Direct Insurance Group is separately exploring a purchase. Representatives of both groups have approached senior Discount Bank figures involved in the sale, discussed possible participation and requested information about Cal. Direct Insurance Group is associated with Mooky and Doron Shnidman, and Bank of Jerusalem is also named among interested parties. The inquiries remain preliminary; the report does not establish a signed agreement or a formal acquisition offer from Rappaport.
