Bluth Announces Counterterror Operation and Cordons on Hebron and Halhul

Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, commander of the IDF’s Central Command, announced a significant counterterror operation on Friday alongside cordons on Hebron and Halhul. Speaking at the scene of the morning’s attack, he said the soldiers had prevented a serious attack against Israeli civilians through their bravery. Bluth said two soldiers had fallen in the encounter and offered condolences to their families. He pledged to act against terrorists and terrorist infrastructure, linking the new operation to the response to the attack.
