Zamir Says IDF Will Resist Provocations After Judea Junction Attack

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited the Judea Junction shooting-attack scene on Friday and said troops would act with composure during a sensitive week. In a statement released after his assessment with senior commanders, he said the military would pursue those involved and continue proactive operations where necessary, while avoiding being drawn into provocations. Zamir said an initial inquiry found that Ari Battalion troops had prevented a serious attack against Israeli civilians. He said the attack would be investigated for lessons and that the IDF remained at its highest readiness across all fronts.
