High-Tech Advocacy Group Warns Against Crypto-Based Response to Sanctions

The High-Tech Headquarters, an advocacy group representing dozens of senior industry figures, warned Saturday that a cryptocurrency-based response to international sanctions would endanger Israeli technology businesses. Responding to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks about digital currencies, the group said the sector depends on open markets and international commerce. It warned that losing those connections could halt investment, force companies to close and push business activity abroad. The statement called for preventing economic isolation and preserving international ties, rather than accepting sanctions and seeking ways to adapt to them.
