Ben Gvir Urges Election Support, Citing Lavi Inmates' Planned Celebration

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir called on voters to support him on Tuesday, citing what he described as a planned election celebration by Lavi Prison inmates. He said they had saved spoonfuls of jam and slices of bread over several days to make a cake if he were not elected. Ben Gvir said Prison Service staff discovered the cake and that the inmates faced disciplinary proceedings and were transferred to solitary confinement. His statement did not give a date for the prison incident.
