Japan’s Aeterlink Corp. is set to buy the technology and intellectual property of Israeli industrial wireless company CoreTigo for $350,000. The Central District Court approved the sale last week, with the terms disclosed on October 27. The transaction has not yet been completed. The assets include patents, patent applications, technology, intellectual property rights and goodwill. CoreTigo, founded in 2017, developed IO-Link Wireless communications for industrial machinery. Its technology serves equipment including sensors, robotic arms and motors, with applications in packaging and parcel sorting. A court motion said the company had raised approximately $45 million before running into financial difficulties. Its largest customer, an unnamed German sensor manufacturer, accounted for about half its revenue and postponed orders during the downturn in Germany’s automotive industry. Trustee Gil Efrati negotiated with Aeterlink for more than six months after an initial bidding process failed to produce a serious offer for the company as a whole. He said the transaction would return more to creditors than the partial offers received. “We hope the transaction will be successfully completed,” Efrati said. He also credited the Israel Innovation Authority’s cooperation and consent. CoreTigo ran out of cash in January 2026. In February, Judge Hana Kitzis ordered its liquidation and appointed Efrati as trustee. Attorney Pinni Yaniv of Meitar submitted the sale motion. Employees’ representative Ofir Ronen welcomed the transaction and said he would continue seeking outstanding employee entitlements. No completion date for the sale was announced.
