Bennett Names Eitan Ginzburg to Lead Together’s Knesset Faction

Together leader Naftali Bennett announced on Friday, October 30 that Eitan Ginzburg would chair the party’s faction in the 26th Knesset. It is Together’s first announced parliamentary appointment for the new Knesset, following this week’s election. Ginzburg was placed eighth on the list headed by Bennett and Yair Lapid. Ginzburg has previously served as communications minister, deputy Knesset speaker and chairman of the Knesset House Committee. Before entering national politics, he was mayor of Ra’anana. Together’s own biography describes him as a lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in local government, including work managing public systems and projects. He first entered the Knesset with Benny Gantz’s Blue and White in April 2019. In May 2026, he informed the party’s leaders that he would not stand on its list at the next election. They agreed that he would continue voting with its faction and that it would not seek to have him declared a defector. He announced his move to Together three months later, in August. His existing party profile lists reducing bureaucracy, transferring powers from central government to municipalities, and improving the justice system’s service to citizens among his policy tasks. The profile calls for “reducing unnecessary bureaucracy that makes citizens’ lives harder.” Those priorities appear in his earlier biography; Friday’s announcement concerns his parliamentary role.
