Ashdod Port has reported a visit by Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Israel, Daulet Yemberdiyev, for discussions about opportunities to expand maritime trade between the two countries. Embassy first secretary Timur Tamirgaliyev accompanied the ambassador. Port chief executive Nissan Levi led a tour that presented infrastructure development and advanced operational technologies at the Israeli port. Board chairman Shaul Schneider said the visit offered an opportunity to deepen the delegation’s familiarity with the port’s capabilities and its role in Israel’s international trade. He described professional dialogue as a foundation for identifying new opportunities. His remarks focused on building connections and examining possibilities for cooperation between the port and Kazakhstan, rather than announcing a completed commercial arrangement. “We were pleased to host Kazakhstan’s ambassador and present Ashdod Port’s advanced infrastructure, operational capabilities and technological innovation,” Levi said. He said the port wanted to develop professional dialogue and explore additional avenues for maritime trade. Levi linked potential future cooperation to continued discussions and connections between economic and professional participants. The account of the visit did not specify a signed agreement, an investment amount, a new shipping route or a timetable for further steps.
