Phoenix Offers Employees Up to NIS 7,200 Toward 2027 Vacations

Phoenix is offering its approximately 3,400 employees up to NIS 7,200 each toward vacations in Israel or abroad during 2027, according to details disclosed Wednesday. Employees recently received a link from the insurance company's employee committee allowing them to choose travel packages for themselves or with a partner. The employee vacation page described a selection of "amazing destinations in Israel and abroad." Overseas options include Budapest, Prague, Batumi, Warsaw, Athens and Miami. The domestic selection includes Eilat, Jerusalem, Herzliya, the Sea of Galilee, the Galilee and the Golan. The company's contribution depends on the actual package price. Some packages are fully funded, subject to tax deductions at the employee's marginal rate. Other packages receive only partial funding, particularly trips for couples to more distant destinations. Phoenix also covers employees' overseas travel insurance during the vacation. The offer concerns travel next year, rather than vacations already taken. If every employee used the full NIS 7,200 allowance, the potential company contribution would total approximately NIS 24.5 million. The benefit follows earlier employee retreats: a June 3 report described Phoenix workers attending three-day stays at Club Hotel in Eilat, divided into two groups.
