Yadlin Students Meet Technology Executives and Visit Innoviz During High-Tech Week

Students at Yadlin Campus, Comprehensive School XV in Rishon LeZion, met technology executives and visited Innoviz as part of Israeli High-Tech Week, held November 1–6. A newly published account describes separate activities for junior-high and upper-secondary pupils, combining encounters at school with a company visit in Rosh HaAyin. Dr. Dov Russo, a computer-science teacher at Yadlin and senior adviser on national research and development policy, initiated the connection with the Israeli Hi-Tech Association. The campus administration and teaching teams worked on the programme. Pupils in grades 7–9 met executives and representatives from FANUC, Vishay and Aeronautics, alongside association representatives, to learn about development, innovation and entrepreneurship. Upper-secondary students in the software-engineering and cyber tracks visited Innoviz, which develops LiDAR sensors for autonomous vehicles. They learned about the systems, toured a robotics laboratory and company facilities, and watched demonstrations of sensing technologies, including drone applications. Principal Orna Sheli said: “We are proud to host High-Tech Week at Yadlin, connecting education, innovation and industry.” Russo described direct encounters with industry leaders as a way to make innovation tangible, encourage curiosity and broaden pupils’ horizons. The account describes completed activities but does not specify their exact dates.
