Rehovot Heritage Center Lists November 27 Hebrew Humor Concert for Older Residents

Rehovot’s Yemenite Jewish and Jewish Communities Heritage Center has listed a Hebrew music performance for older residents on Friday, November 27, at 11:00. The program, “Smiles in Songs,” is part of the Golden Rehovot cultural series. Details published on November 8 give an admission price of NIS 50 and require advance registration. The singers are Osnat Zano, Felix Zeltzer and Ofer Naveh. Uri Kariv is responsible for musical direction and will also host the performance and play piano. The accompanying musicians include Yossi Grushka on accordion and Shlomo Dashet on drums. The announced program combines humorous Hebrew songs with familiar hits. The repertoire includes songs associated with HaGashash HaHiver, Yossi Banai and Kaveret. Among the titles listed are “Ach Ya Rab,” “HaMagafayim Shel Baruch,” “Etzel HaDoda VeHaDod” and “Shir HaMesiba.” The published selection also includes “Shir HaGerushim,” “Mashiach” and “Yesh Li Yom Chag.” These are the announced selections for the forthcoming performance. The concert will take place at the heritage center at 7 Abarbanel Street in Rehovot. Registration must be completed in advance through the website, and the announcement says capacity is limited. The listed date and time are for the Friday morning performance later this month.
