How these figures work

Every story on this site lists the people in it: the members of the Knesset and judges directly involved, and any a reader needs to know about to follow it, at most six. Only people with a profile on this site are listed, so foreign leaders and other public figures are not counted.

A member counts for the Knesset faction they sit in today, and so does a minister who gave up their seat under the Norwegian Law. Other members who have left the Knesset are counted together as former members, and judges under the judiciary. A story counts once for a party however many of its members it names.

A story counts for a country when its English text names the country or its people, as in Iran or Iranian. Israel, Gaza, and Judea and Samaria are not counted, nor are places in Israel named after a country, such as the Jordan Valley or French Hill, or Israelis described by their family's country of origin.

Stories are dated by the day in Israel they report, and the people in each story have been listed since Aug 14, 2026. Every published story is counted within minutes.
