Alongside all this, we continue to lead the education system forward, from integrating artificial intelligence to introducing financial education studies already this year. But alongside the achievements and tasks, we are looking ahead to the coming years. That is why I presented the government with the «New Deal in Education» plan, formulated on the basis of the conclusions of the Shapira Committee that I established when I took office. The plan is intended to address the structural challenges of the education system, foremost among them the enormous growth in special education and its impact on the system as a whole. The main elements of the plan include reducing class sizes to approximately 20 students, moving to a five-day school week, canceling יוֹח״א, and long-term budget planning for the decade ahead. After three years of war in which we were required time and again to deal with the challenges of the moment, we are looking ahead and building the education system of the next decade.
