Miki Berkovich’s Family Reveals Lewy Body Dementia Diagnosis

Miki Berkovich’s wife, Shelly, and children Roi, Niv and Adi disclosed that the 72-year-old Israel Prize laureate has Lewy body dementia. The family said initial signs appeared during the COVID period, including visual flickering while reading or watching television and occasional lane deviation while driving, despite a normal eye examination. During a 2024 family trip to New York for his 70th birthday, Berkovich became disoriented and referred to his surroundings as Dizengoff Street. His children said the disease has progressively changed the father who raised them, while the family is trying to remain optimistic.
