Festigal Founder and Producer Miki Peled Dies at 87

Miki Peled, founder and longtime producer of the Festigal, died Monday at 87. Peled initiated and produced the first Festigal in 1981, creating a major Hanukkah entertainment tradition for generations of Israeli children and families. His wider career included numerous performances and cultural events, and collaborations with leading Israeli artists and creators in Israeli cultural life, making him one of the country’s influential entertainment producers. His funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, at 16:00 at Kiryat Shaul Cemetery in Tel Aviv.
