Veteran Israeli Journalist Oren Nahari Dies at 70

Veteran Israeli journalist Oren Nahari, a prominent foreign-news editor and commentator, died at 70 on Thursday. Nahari spent decades covering foreign affairs, first at Channel 1, where he joined the original team of "Ro'im Olam" in 1988, and later at Walla. He also hosted international-news and history programs, including a weekly Kan Reshet Bet show, and wrote atlases and other nonfiction works. In March 2026, Nahari disclosed that he had ALS, describing rapid physical deterioration while saying his intellectual faculties remained intact.
