Rabbi Binyamin David Lipskind, Kol Torah Administrator, Dies at 74

Rabbi Binyamin David Lipskind died overnight after a serious illness at 74, following about 25 years as administrator of Kol Torah Yeshiva in Jerusalem’s Bayit Vegan neighborhood. Born in Buffalo in 1952, he immigrated alone to Israel in 1974, served as an Israeli Air Force officer and remained an active reservist until nearly 50. Jerusalem honored him as a Yakir Yerushalayim for strengthening Torah institutions and quietly helping people in need, including at-risk youth. In his final weeks, he completed writing a Torah scroll, and he is survived by children, sons-in-law and descendants.
