Attorney Shahar Ben-Meir and the Reservists party, led by former communications minister Yoaz Hendel, filed separate petitions seeking to overturn Sunday’s Central Elections Committee decision on real-time voter-status reporting. Both ask the High Court to restore Deputy President Noam Sohlberg’s prohibition before the October 27 election. The committee approved the practice 19-11 with three abstentions, allowing parties to learn whether identified voters have cast ballots, but not how they voted. A hearing before Justices Yael Willner, Alex Stein and Khaled Kabub is scheduled for Wednesday at 08:00 and will be livestreamed through the Government Press Office.
