Erdan Rules Out Government With Yair Golan, Seeks Broad Zionist Coalition

Gilad Erdan said his new party will seek a broad Zionist government representing both political blocs after Israel's October election. In a Monday morning interview, he declined to choose among Benjamin Netanyahu, Gadi Eisenkot or Naftali Bennett for prime minister, saying the party's goal is to prevent a narrow government. Erdan said such a coalition could enact judicial reform through wider agreement and advance broader sharing of national service. He ruled out joining a government with Democrats leader Yair Golan and said his party would not enter any narrow coalition.
