Netanyahu Welcomes U.S. Iran Sanctions, Says Regime Will Pay Steep Price

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated President Donald Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on new U.S. sanctions against Iran. He said the measures exact a steep price from Iran’s dictatorship and those assisting its continued aggression. The U.S. Treasury said Operation Economic Outcast aims to sever economic lifelines sustaining the Iranian regime and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Treasury issued five sectoral sanctions determinations covering digital assets, technology, gold, aviation and shipping, while OFAC designated nearly 60 entities, individuals and vessels tied to nuclear and missile procurement, cyber operations and oil-revenue networks.
