IDF Seals 16-Kilometer Hamas Tunnel Where Goldin Was Held

Late Monday, the IDF said engineers in the Gaza Division and Southern Command, with Yahalom and Shayetet 13, completed a three-month operation to seal the 16-kilometer southern Rafah tunnel route where Hamas held Lt. Hadar Goldin's remains. The route, near the Philadelphi Corridor, had about 80 rooms, served as a Hamas command center, ran under civilian sites including mosques, schools and clinics, and was blocked with more than 30,000 cubic meters of concrete. Separately, the military struck Hamas underground infrastructure near Deir al-Balah after detecting ceasefire-violating restoration work. Israel's message is clear: no truce can become a tunnel-rebuilding window for Hamas.
