Knesset Timetable Points to July 17 Dissolution

Knesset Legal Adviser Sagit Afik told the House Committee that July 17 is the appropriate date to dissolve the 25th Knesset, 101 days before the election deadline. She said the date would create legislative transparency and stabilize the Legal Department's work as normal lawmaking gives way to election-period restrictions. The Netanyahu-Haredi timetable kept July 17 as the expected dissolution date while Torah-study and service-law bills moved ahead. Israelis now have a clearer democratic calendar, while leaders still must respect Torah study and settle the service-law fight responsibly.
