Qatar Says US-Iran Talks Made Progress in Doha

Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al Ansari said late Wednesday that Qatari and Pakistani mediators concluded separate Doha meetings with U.S. and Iranian negotiators and made positive progress on Islamabad MoU issues. He said the talks built on the Lake Lucerne summit and that the parties agreed to keep discussions going, with the next meeting to be scheduled after Ali Khamenei's funeral processions. The update keeps the nuclear, Hormuz and Lebanon files alive. Israel should welcome verifiable rollback, but no mediation track can become cover for Tehran to rebuild nuclear leverage or rearm Hezbollah.
