Qatar Keeps US-Iran Talks Technical, Without Direct Meeting

Qatar's Foreign Ministry said U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met Qatari mediators in Doha to discuss the U.S.-Iran MoU, Lebanon and regional stability, while no high-level or direct U.S.-Iran meeting is currently scheduled. The ministry said technical contacts continue, with Hormuz freedom of navigation, frozen Iranian funds, Iran's nuclear file and Lebanon on the table. The clarification followed Trump's suggestion that Tehran wanted a meeting. Israel's interest is clear: diplomacy must not let Tehran rebuild leverage over Hormuz, Hezbollah or its nuclear program while Israeli defenses stay on alert.
