Petah Tikva Bystanders Stop Child Abduction Attempt

Israel National News

A 22:35 IDT video showed bystanders stopping a suspected attempt to abduct an 11-year-old girl in Petah Tikva. The girl was heading to an activity, was on the phone with her father, and screamed after a man allegedly lifted her at a crosswalk near the municipal stadium; drivers and passersby ran over, restrained the suspect and protected her until police arrived. Police said Petah Tikva officers arrested the suspect, and that he was arrested again after allegedly assaulting a medical staffer during evaluation. The case is a civic-resilience story: alert citizens and fast police response kept a child safe, and Israeli cities need that standard everywhere.
