Police Arrest Golan Double-Murder Suspects During Yirka Shooting
Police said northern-district detectives and coastal-district officers arrested two central suspects in the June 19 double murder of Saada Saada and Marwan Abu Shahin in Buk'ata. The update says one suspect was caught during undercover activity in Yirka after allegedly shooting another man at close range, seriously wounding him, fleeing on a suspected stolen motorcycle and firing toward officers during a foot chase. Once officers removed his helmet, they identified him as a central murder suspect; a Glock pistol and other evidence were found on the motorcycle, while the second central suspect was arrested nearby. Both suspects are due in Nazareth Magistrate's Court for remand hearings. Determined policing against criminal gunmen is essential for Druze and Arab communities, and for restoring daily security in northern Israel.
