Lod Chase Exposes Hideout With 35 Illegal Residents

Border Police and Central District officers in Lod uncovered a hideout apartment with 35 Judea and Samaria residents staying in Israel illegally after a 42-year-old East Jerusalem driver allegedly ignored an order to stop and fled through the city. Police said three suspects left the vehicle near a residential compound and ran toward the hideout, where the arrests were made. In a separate morning stop, officers found 12 more illegal residents in a minibus and arrested its driver. Reports said the operations were part of the Lod-Ramle task force against crime, illegal stays and for public safety.
