Shin Bet: Three Israelis Aided Sharon Terror Shooter
Shin Bet and Israel Police said Thursday that three Israeli citizens are set to be charged for aiding Omer Munder Yassin, the Israeli Arab terrorist who carried out last month's rolling shooting attack in the Sharon region. Times of Israel's liveblog says Ala Din Jaheim and Wa'am Masarwa of Tayibe knew Yassin's intentions but did not prevent the attack, while Muhammad Aftima of Baqa al-Gharbiyye supplied the improvised Carlo submachine gun. Haim Kalomiti, a Tzur Natan rapid-response fighter, was murdered and five people were wounded around Kochav Yair, Tzur Yitzhak and Tzur Natan before security forces killed Yassin. Israel's response should be clear: citizenship never shields terror collaborators, and local community defense saved lives.
