Ghalibaf Threatens Iran Measures if Israel, US Defy MOU

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a July 3 statement from his meeting with Belarusian House speaker Igor Sergeyenko, saying Iran will demand full implementation of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding and resume proportionate measures if the United States and Israel do not honor their commitments. The warning matters for Israel because Jerusalem was not party to the MOU, Netanyahu has distanced himself from it, and Israeli officials reject terms that leave Iran's nuclear and ballistic-missile programs intact. Israel should keep strategic freedom of action while pressing Washington not to let Tehran redefine allied commitments through threats.
