Lebanon Deal Revives Israel's Hopes of Curbing Iran
Times of Israel published at 22:07 IDT that the new Israel-Lebanon framework has revived Jerusalem's hope of keeping Lebanon out of the U.S.-Iran track. The report says the pact formalizes indirect IDF-Lebanese Armed Forces coordination, gives the LAF an implementation role and ties any Israeli redeployment to verified Hezbollah disarmament and dismantlement. Earlier published framework and annex texts describe a 24/7 Military Coordination Group, pilot zones and a conditions-based process before Israeli forces leave Lebanese territory. Israel should welcome diplomacy only while the sequencing stays clear: Iran and Hezbollah leave Lebanon first, then northern families can trust the border.
