Images Show Iran Working at Pickaxe Mountain Tunnel Site
The Institute for Science and International Security posted July 2, and Iran International and Fox News reported, that late-June Vantor satellite imagery shows vehicle activity on roads to the open western portals of Iran's Pickaxe Mountain tunnel complex near Natanz. The Institute says that indicates construction inside the tunnel and hardening of the entrance are ongoing, while Natanz's enrichment-hall access points remain damaged and Esfahan and Fordow tunnel portals remain blocked or backfilled. It argues the U.S.-Iran MOU requires nuclear-related status quo, which should bar work at Pickaxe Mountain. Israel should treat the update as a warning signal, not proof of renewed enrichment, and keep pressure on Iran for IAEA access and verifiable dismantlement.
