IDF Reabsorbs Thousands Into Reserves to Close Manpower Gaps
Israeli reporting published at 12:00 a.m. IDT says the IDF is using reabsorption days at Bakum to bring former regular-service soldiers back into reserve units after years outside the active reserve system. In the past month, 17,000 citizens were invited, 55% reported, 94% of those who reported were assigned to active units and another 6% moved to individual review. Lt. Col. Rotem Tayar said placements follow operational gaps, while the official IDF reserve page says the army is expanding regular and reserve orders of battle through manpower utilization, large screening days and new units. Israel should honor Torah study and family burdens while insisting that every available, willing Israeli helps close the manpower gap and keep the IDF ready on every front.
