Qalibaf Tells Hezbollah Lebanon Is Red Line in U.S. Talks

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, 2025

At 6:32 a.m. IDT, current Israeli reporting said Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf met in Tehran with a senior Hezbollah delegation and praised the terror group's actions in the latest confrontation with Israel as a historic turning point. He said Tehran had set clear basic lines for channels with the United States, adding that Lebanon and the so-called resistance front are central red lines with no room for compromise. The statement shows Iran trying to bind U.S. diplomacy to Hezbollah's survival. Israel should press Washington to separate any Iran track from concessions to Hezbollah and preserve IDF freedom of action on the northern border.
