French Olim Open 2026 Summer Aliyah Season
One hundred twenty-eight new olim from France landed at Ben Gurion Airport on a special Aliyah and Integration Ministry and Jewish Agency flight, opening Israel's 2026 summer aliyah season. Reports say the group included 65 children and teenagers, eight toddlers under age two, the three-month-old infants Kara and Avital, and Max, a 73-year-old grandfather. Jewish Agency chairman Doron Almog and Aliyah Ministry director-general Dganit Sanker-Langah welcomed them at the airport. Ministry and agency data cited in the reports say more than 67,100 Jews have made aliyah since the October 7 massacre, including more than 6,500 from France, strengthening Israeli communities before the school year.
