Popular Resistance Committees Leader Reported Killed in Khan Younis Strike

The Popular Resistance Committees said Tuesday that Waheed Abu Salem, a senior leader in the Gaza faction, was killed in one of two Israeli strikes in Khan Younis. The Israeli military was quoted as saying the Khan Younis strikes targeted Hamas terrorists or fighters, and medics reported the same wave of Gaza strikes and gunfire killed at least seven people, including a child. Israel did not immediately comment on two later incidents in Gaza City and Rafah. Israel says its post-ceasefire strikes target terrorists who threaten IDF forces or who took part in the October 7 attack, while Hamas does not disclose how many of its fighters are killed.
