Religious Zionism Sets July 26 Knesset Primary
Religious Zionism's management formally opened the party's internal Knesset-slate race and set a physical-ballot primary for July 26. Reports said candidates must file by July 21 at 23:59, with non-incumbent party members required to submit 15 Central Committee signatures and pay a NIS 240 fee, while incumbent MKs pay the fee only. Party director-general Yehuda Wald told members the date was chosen to let the national-religious party start its election campaign quickly while keeping a fair process before the summer vacation period. The party also plans an exceptions committee for reservists, members abroad and other special cases.
