Aoun July 21 White House Visit Confirmed Amid Lebanon Track

The White House has extended an official invitation to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to visit Washington and meet President Donald Trump on July 21, according to statement text posted early Wednesday and a White House official's Tuesday confirmation. The visit follows the U.S.-Israel-Lebanon framework and scheduled Rome working-group talks on border, security and political issues. Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter said the track must keep Hezbollah disarmament and Lebanese army control at its center, while Beirut continues to resist a direct Netanyahu-Aoun meeting. For Israel, the useful test is whether Washington turns the visit into verified pressure on Hezbollah and protection for northern communities, not symbolic diplomacy.
