Iran Military Vows Crushing Response to U.S. Hormuz Strikes
Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said early Wednesday that Iranian forces would deliver a "crushing response" to the latest U.S. strikes and would not allow Washington to interfere in management of the Strait of Hormuz. The warning followed U.S. Central Command strikes that hit more than 80 Iranian targets after attacks on three commercial vessels in the waterway. The U.S. target list included air-defense systems, command-and-control networks, coastal radar, anti-ship missile capabilities and more than 60 IRGC small boats in or near the strait. State media reported explosions in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm and Sirik, while Tehran gave no official loss tally and Gulf states condemned the tanker attacks as threats to navigation and energy security.
