Trump Says Iran Ceasefire Is Over at Ankara Summit

President Donald Trump said the interim ceasefire or memorandum with Iran was over as renewed U.S.-Iran escalation followed Iranian attacks around the Strait of Hormuz and U.S. strikes on Iranian targets. Speaking at the NATO summit in Ankara alongside Secretary-General Mark Rutte, he repeated his claim that he had prevented a Turkey-Israel war and said he did not want a deal with Tehran. Reports differed on whether he would still allow negotiations to continue, but they agreed on the core declaration that the Iran ceasefire was over. The comments kept Israel in the public frame because Trump paired the Iran answer with his Turkey-Israel claim.
