UAE Says Iran Cannot Turn Page on War After Gulf Attacks and Hormuz Strikes

UAE Diplomatic Adviser to the President Anwar Gargash posted on X on Wednesday that Iran's attacks on Qatari and Saudi commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and repeated aggression against Bahrain and Kuwait prove Tehran remains incapable of adhering to de-escalation and turning the page on the war. Gargash warned that Gulf Arab states cannot continue to be the target of Iran's oscillation between escalation and the path of rationality, stability and peace. The statement from Abu Dhabi, an Abraham Accords partner, publicly holds Iran responsible for the regional escalation and echoes Israel's position that the Islamic Republic remains the destabilizing threat behind Hormuz shipping strikes and the U.S.-Iran ceasefire collapse.
