Health Ministry Orders Glicksman Organic Egg Recall
Israel's Health Ministry instructed a voluntary recall Thursday of Glicksman Marketing Eggs organic free-range eggs after illness and high hen mortality were reported at the farm supplying the products. The company and ministry said laboratory results received so far were normal, but the recall is being carried out as a precaution while the check continues. The affected products are dozen-packs of organic free-range eggs in size L or M, with marketing date July 21, refrigerated date August 20 and agricultural code 414020, including eggs or packaging marked "organic." Consumers were asked not to eat the products, and Glicksman said it is collecting them from distribution channels.
