Israel Opens First AI Health Regulatory Sandbox

The Israel Innovation Authority and Health Ministry launched Israel's first regulatory sandbox for autonomous medical AI on Thursday, naming PulseNmore, Cordio Medical and SimaHawk as the first participants. The pilots will test home pregnancy ultrasound analysis at Beilinson, heart-failure self-management at Ichilov, and fetal-weight assessment guidance at Hadassah Ein Kerem and Hadassah Mount Scopus while regulators study safety, responsibility and approval pathways. The program turns Israel's health-tech strength into supervised patient-facing innovation, helping clinicians adopt AI carefully while giving Israeli companies a clearer route to global markets.
