US Strikes Widen to Bushehr and Chabahar; Iran Says Nuclear Plant Undamaged
U.S. Central Command said its forces began additional overnight strikes on Iran to further degrade Tehran's ability to threaten Strait of Hormuz navigation, with Iranian state media reporting the second wave widened beyond earlier Bandar Abbas and Sirik hits to Bushehr province, Chabahar, Konarak and Kish Island. Iran's Nournews Agency, affiliated with the Supreme National Security Council, said the Bushehr nuclear power plant was not damaged. Iranian outlets reported shrapnel struck the Imam Ali Hospital in Chabahar, two marine piers and a maritime traffic control tower were hit at Chabahar port, and two of three power lines to the city were cut. President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that the strikes were in retribution for Iranian attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and that if it happens again it will get much worse. Israel's defense establishment said IDF guidance is unchanged and forces remain prepared, including for offensive action.
