Israel Shares Intelligence on New Iranian Plot to Kill Trump

Reports citing people familiar with the matter said Israel shared new intelligence with the United States indicating an updated Iranian plan to assassinate President Donald Trump. The claim landed as Tehran's regime continued revenge threats tied to the 2020 U.S. killing of IRGC Quds Force chief Qassem Soleimani, and as mourners at Ali Khamenei's funeral displayed and chanted threats against Trump. The Israeli Embassy in Washington declined to comment, Iran's UN mission did not immediately respond, and the White House pointed to Trump's remarks in Ankara that Iran wants to target the U.S. leader. Netanyahu and Trump also spoke Thursday about U.S. moves in the Gulf and regional coordination.
